本會的宗旨:

甲) 改善華人生活質素, 及一些有語言和溶入社
會障礙等問題的人, 特別是長者。

乙) 提供全部支持給予華人, 及其他幫助華人
事項的本地團體。

OUR AIMS

The NCWA is a local voluntary sector charity providing services for Chinese people.

Our aims are to:

A) Improve the quality of life of Chinese people with language and integration problems, especially older people.

B) Provide a whole range of support services for Chinese people and local organizations needing help with Chinese issues.

C) Promote Chinese culture.

Our organisation provides a range of help and support services for Chinese people and local organisations needing help with issues such as:

Housing assistance
Home visits
Translation service (Cantonese and Mandarin)
Help with filling in forms and writing letters
Counselling service
Doctors, dentists and hospital appointments

我們的組織成立於 1990年，為應對在諾丁漢需求不斷增長的中國社會。

我們的主要目標和任務是幫助在諾丁漢所有日常問題的中國人，並提供一個聚會場所，特別是可能都經歷過孤獨和隔離的老年人，由於其有限的英語知識。
我們舉辦各種事件，提高認識，尤其是與健康有關的問題，也有弘揚中國文化的活動，歷史和傳統節日。

我們致力於推廣健康的生活方式，舉辦健康講座，撰寫有關這些問題，我們的通訊，並提供機會參與太極班。
教育也是對我們的高度重視和我們當地的中國社會。多年來，我們一直在提供英語課程，翻譯類和食品衛生培訓取得了巨大成功。
我們的團隊的志願者幫助與日常辦公任務和組織活動，取得了寶貴的經驗和交流機會。
我們還每週有中國的美味午餐，看電影，參觀許多地方的利益共同努力。在我們的活動可以看到音樂表演，書法，摺紙示範，舞獅等。

Our organisation was established in 1990 as a response to the needs of growing Chinese community in Nottingham.

Our aim and mission is to help Chinese people in Nottingham and provide a meeting place for all generations, especially the elderly who might experience loneliness and isolation due to their limited English language.
We organise various events that raise awareness especially of health related issues, but also events promoting Chinese culture, history and traditional festivals.

We are dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle by organising Health Talks, writing about these issues in our newsletters and offering a chance to participate in Tai Chi classes.
Education is also of high importance to us and our local Chinese community. For years we've been providing English Classes, Interpreting Classes and Food Hygiene training with great success.
Our volunteers help with everyday office tasks, organising events, gaining invaluable experience for future work and networking opportunities.
We also meet every week for a delicious Chinese lunch, watch films and visit many places of interest together. During our events you can see music performances, calligraphy and origami demonstrations, Lion Dances and more.
